# How do I send a resource to a prospect?

Learn the correct way to send resources so engagement is tracked properly.

**Always start from your Contacts list.**

1.  Open **Contacts**.
    
2.  Select the prospect.
    
3.  Open their contact card.
    
4.  Send the resource from inside the contact.
    

This allows RapidFunnel to:

-   Track who received the resource
    
-   Record engagement in the Activity Log
    
-   Update the Hot Score
    
-   Notify you when the prospect interacts with the content
    

If you send a resource directly from the **Resources** section to an individual prospect, the content may still be delivered, but it won't be linked to that specific contact for tracking.
