# How do labels work?

Organize your contacts using labels to improve filtering, campaigns, and follow-up.

Labels help you organize your contacts into meaningful groups.

For example, you can label contacts based on:

-   Referral
    
-   Lead Magnet
    
-   Facebook
    
-   Instagram
    
-   Customer
    
-   Prospect
    
-   VIP
    

Labels also work with email campaigns.

Once a contact has opted into email communications, you can use labels in the web version of RapidFunnel to send targeted emails to specific groups instead of your entire contact list.

This makes your communication more relevant and organized.
